Organised crime is complex and often difficult for the public to grasp. At the same time, it affects many areas of society and requires close cooperation between authorities at different levels.

Fort the Swiss Federal Office of Police (fedpol), we developed an interactive information platform that illustrates where and how organised crime can occur in Switzerland – and which authorities are involved in preventing and combating it.

The goal was to translate the complex topic into a clear and engaging experience that helps policymakers, media professionals, and interested audiences understand the mechanisms and connections behind organised crime.

Approach

At the center of the platform is an interactive landscape that highlights places and situations where organised crime may appear in everyday life.

Clickable elements reveal concrete examples, background information, and the responsibilities of different authorities. Additional layers explain the broader context and illustrate how actors across federal, cantonal, and local levels collaborate to combat organised crime.

The modular structure allows the platform to grow over time and makes it easy to update and expand the content.
