For ETH Zurich, we developed a visual decision aid for students and researchers who are looking for the right tool to manage their literature. While access to information has never been easier, the real challenge lies in structuring sources, citing them correctly, and keeping track of one’s references.
The ETH Zurich Library wanted to create orientation within the wide range of available tools while making a rather dry topic more accessible. Zense addressed this through a humorous quiz: based on five classic hero stories, users are playfully guided through a decision journey that helps them discover the tool that best fits their working style.
The visualization was integrated into an e-learning module and also produced as a large-format poster, making the topic of literature management clear, engaging, and easy to explore.
